Q: What is the BMW Gen M Tour?
A: The BMW Gen M Tour is an exciting in-store test-drive experience allowing you to get behind the wheel of the latest and greatest in BMW M and BMW M Performance models.

Q: What vehicles will be available to test drive?
A: Each Gen M Tour event will consist of six different M Performance vehicles to test drive: M2, M3 Competition, M5, X3 M50, X7 M60, and XM.

Q: Is registration required?
A: Yes, if you’d like to register for an upcoming Gen M Tour event at your local BMW center, please visit genmtour.eventsbmw.com for more information. Pre-registration is recommended to secure your preferred arrival time. Limited on-site registration may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Q: How old must I be to drive?
A: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age, with a valid license, in order to participate in the Gen M Tour Drives. Licenses will be verified on site.

Q: Are there any limitations to how many times I can drive a vehicle?
A: Guests can drive as many vehicles as time and availability allows. If there is a waitlist for a specific model, the on-site event staff will coordinate the next available opening. Event staff reserves the right to limit the number of test drives per guest. 

Q: How much does it cost?
A: All 2026 BMW Gen M Tour events are complimentary.

Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: Yes, all guests must check in with a BMW staff member upon arrival. Guests participating in a driving experience (as a driver or passenger) must sign a waiver. On-site driver registration is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.

Q: Can my family and friends ride in the car with me?
A: Yes, guests of registered drivers may ride along after checking in and signing a waiver on-site. Please note that car seat installation is not permitted, and only registered drivers may operate the vehicles.
